You contact Lake Speed Jr. company at Speediagnostix.com and they have kits that can be purchased depending on whether you want to get the sample from removing the oil pan drain plug or by using a hand pump and a line that reaches down in your oil dipstick tube. The kit supplies you with the sample cup and a prepaid Fed Ex shipping box and you send it in and then you watch for your results to be sent to you via email. They do the testing and results very quick. All of this is explained at Speediagnostix.com.

I have hooked up other forum members at other forums I am on and they all agree that Speediagnostix.com is quicker and much more thorough.

Thanks! Will check their website . At 200k, I am sure it would be nice to see the results.
So much more thorough compared to the other Blackstone Lab that I have also heard about?

Loved his video on gas and it's lubrication properties. Most never consider that that.

    Definitely.

It changed the way I regularly maintain my vehicle.

Before, I thought "fuel system cleaner" was mostly hogwash unless you neglect your vehicle and continuously buy shitty gas.

However, the few companies that actually make a good fuel system cleaner show tangible benefits......not just from "cleaning" but also in the form of increased lubrication of the cylinder walls....... and I'm starting to see those benefits now in my own use case.

Exactly. It impacts my fuel brand choice as well, when possible of course.

Lake Speed Jr. is a very knowledgeable guy and willing to share. @Lc200, when you go to the Speediagnostix.com site, compare what they test/inspect for to the Blackstone Labs examples here. Plus, Blackstone does not share the knowledge of fuel additive and other info. Lake Speed Jr. videos at you tube, are very informative.

looks great, ~1ppm iron per 1k miles is excellent stuff. i'd have a hard time wanting to change anything.

i've been running 0W-40 in mine since something like 2,500 miles old, it runs great, burns nothing, and returns very low wear metals on the few analysis i've done. doesn't hurt that my other vehicle uses that grade as well, so i only have to stock 1 kind of oil.

Yessir. T6 Rotella. I was curious if this engine would like it. Appears it does. Might change it to something else soon. I like experimenting

Sounds like long term use is not good for your cat.
