I have a 2004 4Runner 4x4 sport... I’m looking to level it with 5100 Bilstien shocks and struts. Plan on going to the first notch in the front struts. Should raise 1 inch. I was planning on going with Fuel Cleaver 17x9 and was going with 285-70-17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Anyone have this setup or something similar?

Lift isn’t as much the issue as the tire itself. You will rub. Any thread on 285s will tell you you will definitely have to remove the mud flaps, trim plastics, and possibly a body mount chop. Good luck. If you look at my build thread you will see 285s on a 2 inch lift with 17x8 inch wheels

The only other thing I might add is if you can get those same wheels in 8” wide would be a better bet for you. Unless you prefer the pulled in tire look. If you off-road at all as well it’s more likely to lose a bead on a wider wheel

That’s a good point but I’ve already ordered the wheels. We will see how they fit and do I guess
