    Hey all,

Got some new K02's a week ago for my 2012 5th gen and had a question about some wear I am noticing.

The wear is mostly on the Rear left corner, but also a bit on the Rear right corner.

The best way I can describe it, is some wear on the outter side on the top of the tread 'pillars'.

Oddly, the wear is only in the centre of the pillars, and only in a small handful of spots.

I have had it on gravel / highway driving, but nothing other than that.

    Anything to be concerned about?

    Appreciate the help!

Possibly torqued in an incorrect pattern, need balancing, or could have rear axle/suspension causing issues.

That's way too much wear for a week.

    Agreed with @Mtbpsych

    When was your last alignment?

    Thanks for the replies.

I had an alignment done last year. I have a great local dealer, so I just went in and had them do an alignment check.

They said everything was completely normal.

I have already started the claim process with BFG, however I am not sure what else to do!

I took a better picture, and it almost looks as if something pressed against the pillar and dragged down along the sidewall?
Perhaps whatever caused this was prior to the tires even being put on?

You could draw a chalk line across the tread of the tire and keep an eye on it. That would let you know if it's something on your rig causing it or if it happened prior to install. If the chalk disappears it's happening on the vehicle. If it doesn't they were deformed/ worn weird before you bought them.

Appreciate it. Its only on 3 or 4 of the blocks on the whole tire, and it does look like there's some sort of tool mark on the sidewall so I'm thinking it was there before they were put on.

If that's the case and they'll run well I'm all good with it!
