I need a new bumper for our 2004 SR5. I’ve kept an eye out for used ones on Craigslist and FB for about a year and have never come across one.
I’m considering ordering one of the pre-painted ones from Partify or Paint a Part. Reviews across the web seem mixed so I’m curious if anyone here has experience with them.
I could always order an OEM bumper and have it professionally painted but I imagine that’s going to be 3x-4x what these places charge. Not worth it for the car the kids drive.

^I bought a painted fender from Partify in 2023 for my Tacoma. The amount of bubblewrap they used weighed more than the fender  Paint seemed fine, best panel on my otherwise pinstriped truck lol.

For a 2004, the bumper paint mixed to a paint code likely will not match up well against your existing paint with 21 years of fading.

Buy the bumper unpainted, then go to your local auto body and paint supply store and ask what they will charge to prime, match color, and paint it for you. Most of the paint mixers don’t mind making a few extra bucks on the side and are really good at color matching.
