If I missed this in my search, I apologize in advance.

Has anyone installed the Baxter Remote Oil Filter Adapter and Remote Filter Mount?

After 35+ year as a Mechanical Engineer, the idea of the oil filter hanging down below the engine while I'm crawling over Black Bear or Poughkeepsie doesn't give me a warm fuzzy, skid plates notwithstanding. I did see that a number of folks loved the old Taco version engine with the filter up top... someone said it was the greatest thing since the Model T and I agree 125%.

Planning on ditching the supplied AN fittings, and going with O-Ring Face Seal type. No worries about galling the sealing face. Used them in 3000 PSI aircraft hydraulic servicing gear with never a problem. And I'll get my hoses swaged at a local hydraulics shop for good measure.

But... I also know to seek out other folks experiences on stuff before going off 2/3 cocked...

AN, MS, or ORFS are all good in my book. It's been my experience they're all good in the right hands(wrench bender). Whatever you do, take some measurements, list the varying sizes(if required) and post some pics. You never know who may be interested in following suit. ;)

Welcome from Wisconsin! JIC fittings would work as well.
