It's actually a little in-between. Not full west coast with its clear and bitter qualities and not NEIPA with it's hazy, juicy, and low bitterness qualities.

This particular beer is unfiltered, juicy and medium in bitterness.

I'll have to on the next one. That one went down way too easy.

And tonight, it's a one and done for me.

    But there's always tomorrow :drunk:

Awesome! I usually wait until November/December to pick dates based on what's going on with work. But, I usually shoot for late January/February.

I work tomorrow and I'm on my 3rd Scotch. I probably should go lay down soon!

I've drank many Zing-Zang bloodies over the years! We first discovered it on a group camping trip we used to host until about 2013. I think someone bought it just because the name was funny. Those trips were a lot of fun!

Once in a great while I'll get fancy and make them from scratch, buy it's very rare these days.

Seeing these Bloody Marys (Maries?) makes me remember and want to go on a cruise. Looking at the news makes me want to never step foot on a ship again.

With the stay @ home orders I finally had a chance to make some apple pie moonshine! *Don't report me it isn't real moonshine*. I use vanilla vodka and everclear. You can Google it but I have adjusted that recipe (I used allrecipes.com as my base). If intrested just ask.
It is usually a fall drink I make but I needed something new with this quarantine.
Be careful as it is a easy to drink & over drink. The everclear can catch up fast!
The taste is that of a cinnamon apple juice. One batch is over 2.5 gallons!
    Enjoy!

I'm not a smart man but I'm thinking if your friend was in the mood, you could prob post up a Group Buy here and sell a few of them.

I wish I could sell it! My neighbor & I have done a dozen different batches. Lemon Drops, peach, pineapple & cherry to name a few. We have a lot of winners!
I don't feel like getting into trouble selling it. I rather just share the simple recipe with friends and let them adjust to their liking.
I don't even think I can send you a jar!?

This reminds me of a poker night a few decades ago. I was mixing up Long Island Ice Teas for the party as it had become much more than just a few guys losing money. I took "orders" and figured I needed to triple the amounts so that everyone could have a drink that wanted one. By the time I had poured all of the alcohol into the blender I only had about an inch of space left for the coke.

Holy..... Batman, those were some strong ice teas. I stopped playing poker once I got double vision.

    Felt great the next day.

But Sunday, Sunday was a really REALLY bad day. LOL

PS - Even back then we knew enough to have a DD.

As @rkwfxd said, your friend could probably make a few bucks selling them. I'd gladly send some $$ via PayPal for a nice bottle opener like that.

Mmmmm... I've only had blue label once. I spent a week up north running electrical on a tiki bar my Mom's boyfriend built. At the end of the week, he gave me a small bottle, which I drank on the boat while we were fishing down the river. That was a good day!

    Awesome!

Yeah, I don't remember catching much.. But, I still enjoyed myself!

I want to buy a bottle sometime, but I feel like I need a special occasion. Maybe when we can get back to normal living again.

    Looks delicious!

I had a martini phase in my 20's. There was a recurring theme of me waking up on somebody's floor. Good times!

Very smooth and light, not sweet. I like my bourbon too, but there is just something about Irish Whiskey. It travels well!

This one's for Jen. I'm actually proving it!

Tonights beer is Fairy Ring from Sante Adairius. Not the most manly of beer names, but it is a phenomenal beer and the name has a cool meaning to it.

A Fairy Ring is often times a name given to something in nature that grows in a circle. Could be mushrooms or something else. Up here in Santa Cruz, we often see this with small clusters of Redwood trees that grow in a circle, usually around the stump of a logged, old growth tree. After that center tree is cut down, a new generation of trees would sprout from the roots of the old tree, often creating a near perfect circle.

For the beer nerds out there, this is another cross-pollination between a West Coast IPA and a NEIPA. Basically, it's a hazy using traditional west coast ipa hops like Columbus and Simcoe. And yes, I know I'm using a pilsner glass for an IPA, but I don't care. I LOVE pilsner glasses.
