    Cheers, y'all!

I had a couple of limes I needed to get rid of, and no Tequila. So, I had to make Daiquiris. :D

    Happy Friday, everyone!

Nice! I have never made daiquiris myself until recently. I always thought of them as a fruity frozen blended drink. But, a standard lime/ Syrup/ rum daiquiri is a deceptively strong and delicious treat!

Yeah, they’re powerful and they taste so good you want to drink a lot. Maybe the frozen version is more diluted and it slows you down a little.

While Sitting Here having Me a Bripe <------ No I did not Fat finger that! I mean it and having me a second Bripe right now, I been down in my Wine Cellar looking over some bottles to see what I have that if I pull the cork on it now I won't regret it latter well I always feel a little that is just a wee bit of remorse latter when I pull the cork out of a old bottle that has been resting for a few years because it always happen a year latter after it is gone there it pops up for sale at some crazy high price and that is when I really awe man! I should of...

Well I in random pulled a bottle out of one of the racks and see it is one from the 60's ( 1969 Moulin Touchais, Anjou Réserve du Fondateur ) looking it up currently it has a going price of $400 a bottle or more if the label is perfect mine the label has rack damage out side of that it has been properly stored, So Should I? I think I will next week.

Ok The Bripe No it is not what you might think it is! I like Coffee but do not always want a Mug full and developed a taste for Turkish Coffee but taking the stuff to make that while camping is a hand full so a Friend got me a Bripe as a Early B-Day present and wow a perfect Shot of coffee...

Pulled the Cork on a 53 Year old bottle that has been sitting in my Cellar collection for the last 24 years,

When pulling a Cork on a bottle like this you never know if it is going to be a total lost and taste like Vinegar or what to expect... Well it turned out to be Excellent very hard to describe the taste and the sensations you get per sip.
It was Just like drinking a very Fine Cognac that evaporates with an explosion of flavors the second it hits your Tongue damn! it certainly would be nice to have like 11 more bottles of this!

Well it does help to have a lot of bottles in the Cellar from Home made to case lots that I have purchased over the years from tasting events and it not just Wine. Plus I have a Friend that is a Wholesale Liqueur Sales Rep who knows what and where to get a good deal from those who have Real Wine Cellars with 1000 plus bottles in them Not a little one like mine.

congratulations! Glad both, the cork and the wine held up for you and you’re getting to enjoy it. You’re right, pulling the cork on the older vintages is a crap shoot.

We enjoy mostly old world wines. Not familiar with Loire Valley wines here but trying to learn! The picture you posted makes the coloration appear almost amber.

It is Amber a dark very clear Amber, the Winery it came from was a bit of Surprise to me below is something about the Wine maker

Created in 1787, Domaine Touchais is one of the oldest wine domaine in Anjou and it is still one of the most traditional properties in the Loire Valley today, The same ancestral methods have been used over the generations, both in the vineyards and in the winery, in order to create the fine sweet white wines for laying down for which the domaine is renowned.

Today, the domaine is one of the few (or maybe the only one!) to offer such a wide range of vintages, which are often 30 to 40 years old, or even older. Down in the domaine’s impressive underground cellars in Doué la Fontaine, there is one of the finest and oldest stocks of wine in the world.

I had one of these tonight. If you're familiar with the San Diego brewing scene, this beer used to be brewed by Alpine Beer Co. The beer itself was called Nelson.

Alpine Beer Co sold to Green Flash Brewing Co which promptly went bankrupt because they overextended themselves. Green Flash also ruined the Nelson recipe when then tried to scale it up. The beer was just never the same.

So the original owners of Alpine Beer Co started another brewery called McIlhenney Brewing and this is a hazy version of their original Nelson recipe. It's a fantastic beer!
