    Hi,

Anyone know about these? I'm sure it's mostly novelty but it boasts that because its wider it can catch more fan wind; I wonder if the aluminum, over plastic or none, would hurt more than help.

    Opinions?

In this context I would be wary of a product that is marketed with the word “can”. If it was free I would consider it, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to buy one. Most people think they understand what they’re reading and usually it’s incorrectly interpreted. Manufacturers are crafty at using small, simple sounding words making their products a beneficial probability for consumers and are really a low possibility for consumers.

AFAIC it’s just another ‘cosmetic’ mod. I kinda like the idea but after reading (forgot where it was) your more likely going to fry whatever body part touches it vs the OEM plastic cover.

At least theirs doesn't look like it was slapped together by a 5 year old.

That would make sense. It's an interesting cosmetic idea I guess and it does look good but it's a lot of cheddar for something non-functional under the hood. As with all of these types of products, I don't begrudge anyone making the choice to buy one, but since we were asked for opinions that's mine.

Won't work with a super charger... And it's useless.

Yeah I wouldn’t do it. Similar to the TRD air box. Yeah it looks good but I can think of 10 other things I’d rather spend $400 on

It's a cosmetic engine bay dress-up item like the other products made by Bevinsee, such as the aluminum power steering reservoir and aluminum coolant expansion tank. There's no functional benefit, and you greatly increase the risk of mice infestation like whippersnapper02 said.

Only get 5 HP if one adds stickers.

I would consider it, if it kills rodents.

No engine cover is better. You can see what's happening and it's not aggravating. A shelter cat or mouse protector if that's the issue. Engine is more squirrel and cabin filter is more mouse house.
