Here are some that are pretty cheap

Some of these gas station knives can be pretty cheap. Its pretty easy to air a tire down with one of them pressing on the valve core.

I really like these, if you gotta air way down, unscrew the valve core and count 10 seconds and screw the valve core in and recheck pressure.

Use a low pressure gauge and check them after letting air out.

Increase your budget a bit and get Staun deflators. They will last a lifetime.

I purchased a tire deflator kit from Rhino USA. The deflators did not work well. They sent me a replacement kit and those deflators did not work either. I bought a set of Staun deflators and they work correctly. Just used them the other weekend to air down twice.

Bought knockoffs on eBay for $10, they couldn’t be calibrated to a useful PSI so I bit the bullet and went for those Stauns which get close out of the box.

    Otherwise a key works alright.

This set has served me well for six years:
    https://www.justjeeps.com/teraflex-tire-air-deflators.html
    https://www.amazon.com/Teraflex-4807200-Air-Deflator/dp/B006D9W5FA

They're fast enough in my experience - by the time I screw the deflator on the fourth tire, the first tire is already at the desired pressure. They have a pass-through design, so you can press a gauge on the other end of the deflator to check pressure as it deflates. 35 to 17 psi on a 35x10.5R17 tire takes 01:46, about half the time of preset deflators.

Not sure of current prices but check these out.
Seems well made, but not yet trail tested.

    $68

^^a little bit of a hassle to set this type up the first time; but once set quite reliable.

perhaps the OG on a keychain
    TeraFlex air deflators keychain

    $25

^^a bit easier to set up the first time; reliable ongoing

    tire gauage / tire deflator
    perhaps the OG

    $55

    All-Top (generic)
    https://www.amazon.com/ALL-TOP-Deflator-0-70PSI-Pressure-Offroad/dp/B093WBT6JZ?th=1
    $25

^^the argument about these style is the valve stem core comes out each time and may prematurely degrade the valve stem core; additionally if the valve stem is not fully seated before tool removal then you could be left with a completely flat tire when you loose the core.

I am all for supporting innovation and advancing the ease of use. I also hear the motto "Buy once, cry once." I'm not sure I can justify spend double on a device that if it fails I simply use another method to deflate the tires.

I endorse this method but if you use it it’s best to have a spare valve core or two in your kit. Ask me how I know. ;-)
