Just curious how many of you have had a chance to use a speedflate? If so, what air compressor are you using?

Since I shared the thread I have made some purchases. I changed the title to the thread, maybe just hearing everyone's setup might be more helpful to some. Eventually I saw a Youtube vid where this $114 air compressor took on the ARB and put it in an MMA sleeper hold.

    Maxi Trac Air Compressor:

Here are my personal statistics using Falken Wildpeaks 265/70/R17 (TRD Wheels) Starting @ 36 Psi (Speedflate inflating or deflating all four tires at the same time)

    Air down W/Speedflate to 17PSI - 2 min 25 seconds.

Air Up with Maxi Trac 17Psi to 36PSI - 2 min 16 seconds.

When I used the Smittybilt 2781 ($169) on my last trip with the Speedflate pump time was 7 min 42 seconds from 20 Psi to 36 Psi. The Maxi is a two piston system like the ARB. obviously with a 470+ dollar gap, the assumption is the ARB will last longer. Im curious if anyone else is using the Maxi for applications other than tires?

I’ve never seen that, but it’s pretty damn cool. Napa even put out their $100 awning that sold like hot cakes.

I like my ARB twin, but definitely pricey.

For sure I agree. If I had to use the compressor for anytbing other than tires im 97% for the Arb. The reliability of this Maxi is what will make or break it.

And that NAPA awning? its been sold out for like 5 months

I honestly like Morrflate better, and I just hard mounted a 400ah in engine bay.

I'm surprised how expensive some hoses and fittings are! I just do one tire at a time. :D

Well, yeah, it is convenience. I wouldn't buy it if it were anything less :bananadead:

Yes, I do find it to be the more superior hoses. I dont like that the hoses coil up. I find it takes more space than just having a few straight hoses. Speedflate used to make them that way. Not sure why they went with this design.

My inflator came with a coiled hose, and I didn't care for it, either. I replaced it with a straight hose. It packs away nicer.
