I just got a 2022 sr5 4wd. It comes with 1 usb media port up front. Is there an upgrade to add a second one maybe where the 12v port is? Seems the phone apps on really work well with the phone plugged in and I want to add a USB thumb drive loaded with music (500gb).

You know I never thought of using a hub. I have 2 for my pc. I'll have to look for one that doesn't need an AC brick. That's probably easy and cheaper than getting the dealer to install one.

Most of the hubs I use (similar to the Amazon link) don’t require external power. This should be a simple solution for your needs.

You could locate it in that little storage cavity in the center console under the radio area with a little sticky back tape..

this did not work on my 2022 TRD Off Road Premium. I could only select Android Auto, when I had my phone and a USB plugged into the USB hub. Bummer. I wonder if the radio system allows a second media port to be connected? My system I installed in my 2004 4Runner was able to read usb drives and Android Auto at the same time.

I just tested. If I plug my phone in the USB drive disappears. If I connect with Bluetooth I can play music from my phone and the USB but lose waze GPS access since the Bluetooth only seems to handle the sound and music. That should be OK on short trips where I do not need navigation. I was hoping I could access everything on the fly if needed. Thanks. I tried setting up entune but never loads. Maybe because I don't have the upgraded stereo.
