AC Vent Bushing? And related... Phone Mount?

Hi y'all, First time posting but been reading helpful threads for a while.

I've been looking for a decent solution to mount my phone for a while in my '92. Have not found anything good so went with AC Vent mount.

My girlfriend promptly ripped the phone off to fast and the vent came with it. So, I have two questions:

1) Anyone ever pulled one of these out and put it back on? My cover looks intact (see below) which leads me to believe I'm missing a part. Having trouble finding good info on what goes there. It's loose and pops out with no force now.

2) How do y'all mount your phone?
