I’ve got a 2012 SR5 4wd. All kinds of lights came up on the dash. ABS, trac control, brake, power steering, and 4wd and 4lo are flashing. Also the speedometer isn’t working and the fuel gauge is floating around. It’s throwing three different codes. The codes are C1547 VSS, C1407 and C1408 which is open or short in rear speed sensor on both sides of rear. I’ve cleaned magnets and replaced sensors already. Tested for continuity in the rear harness and everything was good. What should I do next? Not sure where to go from here.

    Welcome to the forum!

Where did you get the sensors that you replaced?

Oh no. Amazon is the new EBay when it comes to automotive parts for cars. I bet the new sensors came with boxes labeled Toyota maybe masquerading as OEM parts?
There is a huge percentage of counterfeit parts (started out on Ebay) and now being sold on Amazon.
Since your problem isn't fixed, now you are going to have to spend more time and money figuring out the problem.

Never, and I mean NEVER buy auto parts on scAmazon. This is why. The only other thing I would suggest is to check the voltage coming off of the alternator, and also check to make sure your battery is good. A bad battery or alternator can cause all kinds of weird electrical issues.

I was afraid of that. Just didn’t want to spend $170 a piece at the auto parts store. Any other recommendations or just bite the bullet ?

I wouldn't even buy them at the auto parts store - but that's me.
IMO - I would get them from Toyota. Think about it - that is your braking system - and further, those same sensors have inputs into your 4-wheel drive system. A bad sensor can leave you stranded somewhere because your truck won't move in 4-wheel drive, and neither can you get it to go back into 2-wheel drive.

I'm sure some of the experts here can chime in - especially if I am wrong about anything I said here.

Agreed. There are some things you can get off the shelf at auto parts stores, but important sensors aren't one of them. OEM all the way for stuff like this.
