My 1992 4Runner (+400K Miles) 3VZE RW A340 Automatc Transmission has been slipping in Drive for a few months and now will not move forward in Drive at all. It does engage in Reverse and moves backward. Any words of wisdom? Would be appreciated. Any recommended transmission shops in the Dallas, Texas Metroplex Area. Thanks.

You could try throwing fluid at it and making sure the proper amount is in there but I’m betting it’s time for serious work or at least diagnostics.

At 400k miles the transmission is probably toast. Replace it with a junkyard one
