    Greetings fellow 4Runners,
I'm new to this forum but have been active on other Toyota forums. Thanks to all of you for your willingness to lend advice and guidance to newbies and veterans alike.
I have been hooked on Toyota's since the purchase of my first Toyota 4Runner, a 2000 SR-5 with 130k on the odometer. I was impressed with its simplicity and reliability. I replaced valve cover gaskets and ball joints as soon as I took possession in 2017. Working on this vehicle was actually enjoyable! Sadly, frame rot has robbed me of experiencing how many miles I may have been able to put on the truck. It runs great with 240k, but is no longer safe. I'll donate it to a local garage that helps low income people keep their vehicles running. I'm moving into a 5th generation, 2010 SR-5 Premium with 200k miles. The frame has been cared for since delivery. I will continue to protect it annually as well (lesson learned). I'm looking forward to participating on this forum. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself.

    Welcome!

Like you I too made the move from a 3rd to 5th. A few more bells and whistles but at the core is the reliability we all come to appreciate from these vehicles. Sad to hear your 3rd went too soon but its good to hear it went on to help others in a second life!
