Hey...I just bought this a few weeks ago on a early black Friday deal. Got a charger, (2) M18 5.0 AH batteries, and the M18 Inflator for $200. Does not have that locking attachment though.

It's pretty sweet. Filled a completely flat tire on my dad's Tucson (plugged the tire) to 35psi in less than 3 minutes.

I love that these can be set to shut off automatically.

This is what I gather from the videos I’ve watched: the Milwaukee works off battery only. Does that mean you have to take the charger with you if you go out on a long trip? Or multiple batteries? How many fills can be had off one battery? (I know there are lots of variables there.)

It looks like the Dewalt can operate off of 18v battery, or 12v, or 110v. When the Dewalt is plugged in, does it charge the battery? Or does one again need to bring the charger? I like that there are options to battery power.

The duty cycles, per one of the videos I saw, are:
    Milwaukee - 20 on/40 off
    Dewalt- 10 on/10 off

I’d hate to be the one compressor in the group and have to wait 40 minutes for my compressor to cool down.

As far as the Milwaukee M18 Inflator goes, you are correct. It runs off battery only and you would need to bring the charger or multiple batteries. Or one really big battery.

Using my 5 amp hour battery, after doing a dozen or so top top offs and filling one completely flat tire, the onboard battery indicator is still showing 3 out of 4 lights of charge left.

There is a review on Milwaukee's website where a person wrote he filled (4) truck tires from 22psi to 40psi in 5 minutes. Another reviewer wrote it took 10 minutes to fill (4) 33" tires from 28psi to 45psi.

    That’s plenty of capacity.

I have the Dewalt- a word of caution. If you are running 285s and air way down for off-roading the unit is super slow and can only run for 10 mins before needing a cool down time. I would estimate 20-25 mins to air back up. Great for topping off tires but not high enough capacity for true overlanding or off road use IMHO. Sounds like the Milwaukee May have a much higher air out put based on the above comments.

Very useful information. There are compressors with a 100% duty cycle but they are more expensive and less convenient.
