Well guys… this is it. I wish I could have been more active on here aside from my constant lurking. The past two years with my 4Runner have been awesome and flew by. But… now that my kids have gotten older and baby number 3 has now arrived we decided we needed more space.

I traded my beloved 21 TORP for a 2020 Tundra with 32k miles on it. I’m super happy with the new truck but will definitely miss my 4Runner.

Next order of business is to pull the XDs off the tundra and put some different wheels and tires on.

I hope to be back on here one day if I can snatch up a high mileage 3rd or 4th gen as a project. I just needed more room in the daily driver.

Congrats for finding a nice-looking example of one of the late/great V8 powered Tundras. That's a 350k mile vehicle. The new ones are not. Enjoy!

No reason you have to leave, just because you got a different truck, is there?

    Good looking Tundra! Enjoy!

You can still lurk, even if you don't have a 4Runner. :D

Josh, congrats on the family expansion, you know you could probably stick around the forum even though you got rid of the 4Runner. Nice looking Tundra.. enjoy.

Fantastic! The 2.5 Gen Tundra is a workhorse. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it?

I’ve driven about 225 miles so far and I’m averaging 16.5 so not terrible! I was in the 17s with my 4Runner so it’s not a huge loss so far. The 38 gallon tank is nice though lol.

I paid right at 43k. It’s crazy how these vehicles hold their value. My 4Runner traded at pretty much exactly what I bought it for. I was willing to pay the 43 for the Tundra because it was only 32k miles. It’s practically a new truck. The market on those is crazy right now because of all the 3rd gen issues.

That is what I am seeing. The prices on these are crazy, even surpassing the newer 22/23 models.
It appears you got a real clean example. 32k is indeed a brand new truck. I am eyeing a few 1793 trim, but can't get myself to pay 45k for one.

Nice Tundra, too bad Tundras were discontinued in 2021.

Not sure what happened to those 22+ turd gen trucks. New ones are junk.

Will we be seeing you over at the Tundra site? I have a first gen Tundra and I mostly lurk there, but join up and share pics of your new wheels and tires so I can check them out when I'm lurking.

Well played, and hang on to that Tundra. 32k miles on a Gen3 Tundra and you’d be on your third motor….But on a 2020, that’s barely outside of the break-in period. Good luck.
