4runner 5th generation has steering wheel shake which has not been remedied on my 2055 4r which had been serviced 5 times for the same issue.

Thankfully in Texas we have a strong lemon law. If, after 4 visits for the same issue, you can send to Toyota a demand letter which states fix in 30 days or repurchase the unit OR replace the vehicle. I think I will take option two

Best of luck with option 2, sounds expensive. I’d try a good tire/off-road shop to diagnose the issue.

Did you just find about this lemon law or something?

The 2055 electric 4R is so quiet you can hear/feel it when you drive over a needle....

Anymore info about your steering wheel shake? Honestly trying to figure out what your looking for from us. Have you replaced tires since you got it! Did it shake on the test drive? Is it, only on cold mornings?

Many with many more to go
When did you buy the vehicle and from who?
    What tires?
    What size tires?
How many miles on your rig?
How many miles on the tires?
    Still on OEM shocks?
    Lift?
    When were they balanced last?
    Have they been Roadforce balanced?

Complaining without any information to try to help you will only get people to make fun of you. And I'm sure you emant 2015, not 2055?

My new PRO with 350 miles on it had steering wheel shakes at 58-62 mphs, crooked steering wheel, and bad alignment. My guess when the 4runner arrived to the port for part installation, they gave a rat ass in care.

Took it in yesterday and it was confirmed, balances on a four tires were way off including bad caster and toe. Fix under warranty and its good now. Lets see how long before it goes to shit again. Cant trust dealer much cause when I got home, i re-torque everything

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Mine had the shake on the way home from the dealer as well, I was bummed. Called back to the salesman to let him know about it and he said to bring it back. The wife and I were back in town the next day around lunch and stopped by the dealer, I got to have a chit-chat with the service manager while he was having lunch in his office, he said you know it is a truck and drives like a truck and I said brand new $52K vehicles should not have a shake. I essentially dared him to take it for a test drive so all three of us jumped in. He felt it and HE made the service appointment which made me feel better as the acknowledgment was made by HIM and documented. His best tech discovered the RT front tire had the light spot (Red Dot) mis-marked ~120 degrees out at the tire factory. Been fine ever since.

    Edited.

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
Well, here's what I heard from a service advisor at Toyota of Orange...

There is a problem. It has cropped up in some Tacomas and 4Runners. The problem is recurring and it doesn't matter if you've got everything aligned and balanced.

Mine tends to appear in the mid-50s up to the mid-60s. I accidentally got up to 80mph recently and there was absolutely no shaking, much to my shock. By the way, the shaking appears on smooth asphalt just as much as it does on concrete highway which is usually segmented and not as smooth.

It is been conveyed to me that Toyota Corporate is aware of this.

Shaking is never a good thing and, I highly recommend that if you are experiencing this that you go to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration and file a complaint. Who knows what the shaking will lead to in less than ideal driving conditions or after a few years when parts are weakened by the shaking. By complaining to a federal agency, additional engineers will look at this and and be compelled to come up with a solution. It may be an out of warranty repair or replacement of a part, something that Toyota would not do on their own without a nudge from a governmental overlord.
