The grand cherokee looks like the only interior designed by professionals, or at least designers who knew of the existence of screens in cars before they started working on it.

Except the screen is too low and angled too much.

Yeah, the interior dimensions are crazy, the rear seat room is for a very small person or a child at best, the 3rd row room is for a 5-8 year old at most. The rear seat roof height is crazy. She didnt like how it drove and said it was the roughest of all. Not surprising really compared to the others which are large cars.

Back in the day people who wanted luxury bought Buicks and Cadillacs. Those cars are of yester'year now and everyone wants an SUV. The Jeep has slowly morphed from a rugged offroad vehicle into an SUV that is trying to be a buick/cadillac competitor. They are leaning towards being a luxury offering that is still offroad capable. The interior definitely looks like a knock-off 2019 range rover sport, almost an exact copy. I think they were trying to be "rugged" on the outside but luxurious on the inside. Both have the same size/style screen at the same angle with the dash. I dont personally like the screen to be at the same angle as the dash when the dash is laid back like that.

Well it's between that or a screen that looks like it was added on last minute when everyone else finished their work and they realized the screen guy was on vacation.

Once the Hemi makes its way back into the Grand Cherokee it is going to be a viable player in the sphere as long as Toyota refuses to send the J300 here for under 100k. I know people are gonna say "but no BoF", but if people see who actually bought J200 LCs new state side they would realize the unibody is not a hindrance in their intended market.

    lol
no doubt the 4Runner screens are hilarious. You get a 16" screen that sticks up 6" above the dash, or a 12" screen with 2" of black plastic all the way around it to fill the same panel as the big screen. I agree, its terrible this is the best they could do
Also the lady said all models of the 4runner come with auto rear lift gate, if i remember only the high end trims get it.

You either get a Samsung Tablet or a GameBoy stuck on the dash.

Agreed, seems like everyone's lost their damn minds and forgot how to build an interior just to satisfy the influencers who complain anything older than 3 years is "dated". Who needs a coherent dash layout like this, after all?

And I think you are right about the tailgate, I too thought it was on like Limited and Pro etc but what do I know.

Bonus standout: that bizarre small cubby where the pushbutton should go, now it's just a small hole staring at you. Is it for airpods or something?

The LC interior was done better IMO.

See that's an interior done by people who work in the same office, with radical design elements like aligning top edge and such wizardry. Even the push button start is in a place where you won't hit the right stalk with your right forearm 60% of the time.

The exterior is better done as well.

Three things would get me to consider the LC eventually
-If it got all the suspension and driveline bits of the ORP 4R
    -a gas version
-a larger tank. The space is all there under the chassis.

But then they went and put in the stupid cool box in the center console so you can keep two drinks cold instead of having a decent size space to actually store things in.

Gotta keep those coffee milkshakes (Dutch Bros, Starbucks, Better Buzz, Dunkin) cold.

I'm thinking you can swap to the non cool box for more usable storage.

No volume knob for the lower trims?

A video comparing the 4R to the Wrangler (we already know which ones better ;) ). I wondered why this video was only 13 mins long for a comparison. After hearing the dude talk, now I know why!

Boy a shot like that really illustrates how far the two have diverged over the years, never mind the whole 2 door, manual, and rubicon things.

Mods? None. Been there, done that. I like this one stock.
It's sad that a few dinosaur-driving posters have so little to do other than to come to the Gen6 forum and try to convince people that their obsolete vehicles are superior to the current models.

BTW, spend equal $ and the Jeep Wrangler is a far more capable off-road vehicle than the 4Runner could hope to be.

    Carry on.

Regardless of whatever merit it is, dumping on N generation in favor of N-1 comes around pretty much like clockwork.

When the 2025 was unveiled I saw a comment somewhere from Doug DeMuro talking about him remembering the animosity the 4th generation got online. (too big, ugly, etc.)

I won't say there aren't regressions like there was going from 4th to 5th, etc. but yea.

Had a call with mom to convince her that yes, a Toyota hybrid is a perfectly fine motor vehicle and even has some net dependability benefits. Not like they haven't been working at it for 30 years... Anything with a plug is a no go though because she read an article once about some random used Tesla somewhere needing battery pack work.

The kicker? They drive a Hyundai Sonata with the DI 2.4L. (Theta II)

Until the engine in the Jeep blows up and leaves you stranded! Then the 4Runner's better off road!

I visited before they opened, not sure if salesmen would ask me if I’m interested selling, considering my modifications.

I didn’t find a sticker price on any 6th gens, and most said SOLD.

look at these Used sticker prices!:

How does that work? Do they have a lot of out of town buyers that pay first then need time to get there to pick it up, or is there a longer gap between an allocated vehicles arrive and buyers picking them up in Canada? In my area vehicles with "sold" stickers are typically gone after a day or two when buyers take them home.

Is this their site? Interesting dealership, they have 46 new units listed but only among Prius, Crown, BZ4x, 1 taco but 16 Tundras. I guess everything else is already spoken for? i have never in my life seen a Toyota dealership without at least one Rav4 or one Camry or one Corolla ready to go.

I built and priced these on Toyota.ca. I would never pay this much for a TrailHunter

Well Canadian dollar is worth 73 US cents so that Trail Hunter is about 75k USD. It starts at 68k here but no one ever sees one without options so maybe 75k US is in line with a US model with some options checked.

Although that Pro is 65k USD which is I think 3k less than the US pricing.
