    All,
I'm looking for simple switches, that slide into our OEM locations. Dash, console, the like
I don't want ones that have ZOMBIE lights, or any other stupid shit. I did see some on AIR ON BOARD. One has "this turns something on" or the like, that I giggle at. One that has "thermal fans" that ill use. I'm looking to switch my car amplifier on and off. If it had AMPLIFER on it. Cool. But I'm not seein it, and rather have silliness on it, I'd love a blank switch.
Is there a place that just sales the switches that fit OEM cut outs? I cant find any. Am I blind?
    I'd appreciate the help.

    TIA
    Kyle

    .

With the AOB switch and the Auxbeam wiring harness, this is how I initially had it wired (I used small wire nuts as a temp solution to test the connection prior to making final connection):

    AOB black to harness black
    AOB red to harness red
    AOB green to harness yellow

As wired above, the switch light was on constantly. The folks at AOB suggested switching the red and yellow wires and now the switch is only lit when it is in use.

    Hope that helps...

Sounds good thanks guys. I will try to dremel the sides of my current switch, if It doesn't work, I'll try another brand.

I also was not able to get the dimmer to work appropriately. I connected Red 2 to the green wire on the wiper heater switch, It dims but inverse of expected (brightest at the lowest dimmer setting). I will end up using a fuse tap to a switched driver side fuse.

Have just ordered from Air on Board, ditch, winch, light bar.
    Fingers crossed.

Just installed my compressor switch from Ch4x4 today - gets stuck in the ON position. Pretty disappointed since I paid for some custom text on this one......

My worst 'stick' via Ch4x4 was my ditch lights, arrrrrg, that can get me pulled over real quick.
I had just a minute to solve the issue. Took a knife blade and pried it back out. Luckily it turned off.
Still waiting for the replacements to get here but I've not been to that house in a while/might be sitting waiting on me.

I've been trying to get onto Air On Board's website to place an order but it seems like it's down or there is a glitch or something.

Funny to read this thread. I bought 4 ch4x4 switches recently and worked on installing two this past weekend. I’ve decided they’re just not worth the hassle as getting them to function how I want is going to be a lot of work. They are cheaply made. They need modification to work properly. I’ve read it’s the 4 runner switch housing that needs some tabs shaved off to get them to engage correctly. I will have to check to verify. Mine currently act as momentary switches.

Ordered an auxbeam switch controller and plan on using that for my switch lighting solution and see how that goes. If it works well maybe at some point I’ll upgrade to an sPod or SwitchPro system.

Air On Board must have had their IT department fix their website - it was back up yesterday so I ordered a switch from them - hopefully I won't be disappointed after the disaster that was CH4x4.

As an aside, I emailed CH4x4 about my switch problem a few days ago - radio silence, no offer of support or to send out a replacement.

What your saying has zero to do with the original issue. CH 4x4 switch would hang up. Air on board did not so I'm not understanding what you say. for what its worth, many on the other forum had the same thing with that brand...its junk
