5th gen lift issues

    I just recently purchased a 20 4Runner SR5. I went to a semi local Dealership to have the lift installed to stay under warranty. I had a 2.5 Daystar lift with 1.5 in the back with 1.5 wheel spacers with 285 BFG's on the factory rims and have placed around 2K on the lift. I just recently started to have a little shutter in when shifting or under light throttle and letting off. As of now if I get on the throttle or just let off the rear end feels as if I have hit ice and I am on dry pavement. I jacked the truck up and all of the wheel felt tight and and didn't have any play in them. I am just really concerned to drive it 45 miles back to the place that installed the lift. Any help with this situation would be greatly apricated

    I will go out on a limb and say the wheel spacers are to blame and not correctly seated.... I hate them... personally...

    Not sure how mechanically inclined you are but you should still be able to go under and check all your bolts for tightness or straight up missing bolts. Just follow each “bar” of the rear links to its bolt and check it at least semi-right if you don’t have a torque wrench.

    Thanks everyone for the pointers. They left the bolts loose on the lower control arms in the back.

    Do you know if the vehicle will have rubbing if I take the wheel spacers off? I would rather not run them. I have a 2.5 lift up front with 1.5 in the back and 285 BFGs on the stock sr5 wheels.

    They will more than likely rub. I went with SPC UCA’s and the shop set the caster forward to keep from doing a bmc and minimal front bumper trimming.

    Removing wheel spacers should decrease your chance of tire rub.
