I know it's a bit of a weird request, but I'm looking to actually add an Aux port to my 2022. It's got the USB data hookup for Android Auto or Carplay, but I'd like to wire in the 3.5 mm port for various other audio inputs such as Radios, CD players, and the occasional friend who wants to use their phone.

If anyone has seen it done before or has guidance on how to do it that'd be lovely! I've done a few of these things before, but on my 2003 Silverado, where the wiring harness was neanderthalian in comparison. (Also I haven't yet pulled the dash off to see what's back there, so I may be missing a really obvious spot to tie in the harness found on the 2019's and older which from what I know had an aux port from factory. If that's the case feel free to flame me lmao)

    TLDR:
Want to add a 3.5 mm to my 2022. Please help lol

Have you thought about possibly a USB to 3.5 Aux Jack or are you set on a separate Aux input?

I’d really like to do separate… I know it’s a bit of a redundant idea, but I’d like to be able to leave things permanently plugged in while still being able to use the CarPlay for daily commuting
I looked into the USB to 3.5mm adapters and it’s just not quite a clean enough solution for me lol

Gotcha, This has been discussed in the past with no clear answer beyond aftermarket. May be an option to hit up a "good, Local" stereo shop to check and see if they have any solutions that may not be discussed often.
