I've never seen rock sliders with such few bolts or small and few mounting points. Looks like it would bend if you needed it.

Just got my rock sliders sliders in. Man, these things are huge seeing them in person, pictures don’t really do them justice.

It sounds like there are often issues with installing both rock sliders and lower link skids, where they run into each other at the same point on the frame. Has anyone else ran into this? I held off on installing my lower link skids so I could do it all at the same time. From what I’ve read, I may have to cut part of the mounting plate on the sliders.

Add CBI for sliders, Orangeboxx Fabricators for Molle panels and bumpers, Expedition One for Bumpers, Rago, and RCI for skid plates to your list.

Don't see my bumper on here.

CBI Adventure bumper 2014-2019 fitted to a 2022 ORP with MTM. DIY TSS relocation, still need to find solution for front camera (currently angled up / blocked somewhat).

RSG engine skid. Love it too.

I should have went with the high hoop like yours to clear the TSS sensor. Since I went with the low hoop I had to relocate the TSS sensor down to clear the hoop so it can function correctly.

If you're planning to "use" the sliders I'd skip the "bed liner" and get the rust stripped and sanded then hit them with Rustoleum in flat black rattle can.
Each time after you hit the trails you can use a cardboard shield and touch them up with more Rustoleum in under 5 minutes.
The Bedliner will get just as torn up on anything real as rattle can black, and it'll be more trouble to repair.

I think that is the route I have determined to go. I wanted the bedliner for some texture for when my wife uses them as steps but I will probably just add some skateboard decking to the top as just a little added texture.

How do you like the ARB setup? I have been looking at their full skid package but can't find a ton of feedback in either direction. Feel free to shoot me a PM if it's easier. Thanks!

Artec Venture. I like it but I'm going bigger and have the C4 overland series plate bumper on order to replace it.

Ignore the headlights, that was a comparison of Lasfit LED's to stock.

Metal Tech sliders P/N: MT-4R5G-22100. This is an old pic. They have taken a beating on the rocks and are holding up well.

I'd imagine that would be a problem lol. That was the day I did the install. I didn't have the tag or camera relocate done yet. Here is the only picture I have handy of it completed.

Dobinson IMS Warn Bumper CaliRaised Sliders 265/70 K02s
I keep on forgetting about this thread. I figured I’d post my 4x Innovations skid plate set since you don’t see much on them. The price I think is very nice for what you get. It’s 1/4in thick for the front and mid skids, and 3/16 for the transmission and transfer case skid.

The mounting method on these seem pretty good. It uses 6 bolts to the frame for the front skid. The engine skid uses two bolts to the frame (the rear mounting locations for the factory engine skid, and it also mounts to the front skid itself in a jigsaw fashion with 5 more bolts. The transmission skid mounts with two bolts to the frame (where the tubular support mounts to the crossmember), along with 5 bolts to tie it in to the engine skid. And finally, the TC skid mounts with three bolts to the inside of the frame rails, along with 5 bolts to the transmission skid in front of it.

This mounting scheme basically results in a structurally unitized whole belly pan. In all likelihood, these would survive a roadside IED…no joke. The main reason I went with these is because they essentially completely protect the lower control arm mounts on the frame itself. I saw no other skid plate options that provide this. The exception being maybe the LFD plates, but those only mount with 4 bolts total to the frame for a single piece covering the front and engine area.

Drawbacks? Weight! The builder said about 176lbs if I recall. I’d say…at least that much. This is not something you would want to install without a suspension/springs that takes this weight into account!

The other drawback is maintanance. You can access the zerks for the rear driveshaft just fine, but servicing the front driveshaft or the transfercase, and transmission will require removal of the two rear plates. (Maybe I can get away with removing just the trans skid for front shaft greasing, but not sure since the tolerance are so tight). Not a big deal as long as you realize that a jack will be needed to lift/drop each plate. In my case, I had bought a cheap transmission jack from HF that worked perfectly to maneuver and lift these into place.

I’ve already changed the oil and filter once, and the access doors made it easy.

All hardware is stainless button head bolts, with allen heads. Many are exposed, so there’s potential that you’ll have to drill them to extract them should they get ground up. But the allen heads at least should serve as a good pilot hole lol.

They are as tight to the frame as possible, although the front skid angle is sharper than factory front plate, so technically it might eat a smidge into approach angle.

Coverage is excellent…almost too good. To the point that it might get mighty hot down there in slow traffic in hot climates. I did notice an increase in transmission temps in slow off-road situations. Big reason might be because the transmission skid wrap up to the bottom of the frame. All the heat from the cats has to fight to get out.

The fit-up is amazingly tight, and the interlocking mounting method really seems stout to the max!
