Took a drive in Park County, CO.

 

Road past Helton Falls off of 129 Blood Mountain. Not a challenging drive. Just pretty. Forestry road to Horse Trough Falls near Helen, GA is also very pretty drive if you are in that area. Easy walk to the Falls.

 

I appreciate the info. That is where I ride motorcycles. I will have to take the 4Runner up there once instead of a bike. Thanks!

 

Gorgeous country. Even Hwy 24 going through Park County is beautiful. It's the prettiest state in the nation, IMHO.

Went on a nice little trail ride, found a few small mud holes and a couple creek crossings. Found this nice little spot to eat lunch at.

Couple hour jaunt thru the mtns in SoCal , amazing warm breezy day, overlooking the desert still greenish ..

 

Just got home from a couple of days at Chimney Rock in The Maze. Weather was pretty great for late February and the 4Runner performed better than I was expecting on the drive in- although I was certainly glad that I was able to get the lift and airLYNX installed before this trip!

I was about to ask if this was North Georgia but I saw your previous posts. Beautiful area!

 

No shortage of beautiful spots and Forestry roads in the N Georgia area. Blessed to live in the mountains. Also 10 mins from the North Carolina mtns and 40 mins from more in Tennessee. Ain't complaining!!! 345 days to retirement. Not that I'm counting or refining my "attitude" at work.

 

We used to call that "ROD" (Retired On Duty).

 

When we turn down/power down equipment where I work, we hang this on it; "Retired In Place". Have this posted on my desk now.

 

Where is this?

 

That's on Hwy 1, a couple hundred km north of the BCS state line. The closest "town" is Catavina, but there's honestly nothing close that could be considered a town.

 

Paid a visit to one of my favorite fire towers in Western North Carolina. Life has kept me busy lately but I'm more than ready to start adventuring again.

 

Where is this at please? Looks similiar to Palomar Mtn. Rd

 

Overlook into Canyonlands N.P. from outside of the park boundry. Had to do 4L to get here. One of those, "I wonder where that trail goes" situations. My daughter asked, "Are really gonna go up that?"

 

I spent this past weekend in and around The Needles- mostly hiking, but I did drive one of the few two-tracks left in the area that I had not explored before.

Thanks! Many years ago I used to sell my landscape photos locally, but it was too much work and I gave it up. Now I just take photos to share on my blog

 

It was in the upper 60s in SW Idaho today so I found a high spot to have a seat and soak it all in for a bit. A couple of guys riding on horseback passed by my white 4R down below so I snagged a shot.
