I'm curious to know if we have any members on the forum with 5th Gens and already in the 400K club? I'm for sure extremely impressed if you have crossed this milestone and would love to hear your thoughts and experience on what you have done right to get to this point. Kudos to you!:hattip:. Pics welcome as well.

That would be close to 27k miles per year for a 2010 so I can’t imagine there are many

We have a member that posted this shot two years ago, but I can't remember his handle to save my life. He was here posting often, maybe he is out there. He is probably getting closer. This was a from a 2017 model.

I was literally typing "Are there any 5th gens remotely close to this? I don't even know anyone that's broken 300,000. Someone will be by shortly to prove me wrong." when you posted that. Haha

I need to pump my 120k rookie numbers up. At least I get to be in the timing chain cover leak club.

Let's see how many true road warriors show up with their throphy ODO readings - I am sure they are out there. They are probably driving right now and not screwing around in some forum like this.

I intentionally spread my driving across multiple vehicles. My 2005 Tundra pickup truck, i only drive 10,000 miles a year as long as i can help it. Few days a month, here and there, if i am doing maintenance to another vehicle ect. It now has about 185,000. My daily driver 4R (2008) i normally put about 25,000-30,000 a year on. I am about to change the oil in a few weeks at 270,000. My daughters 4R we got new in 2012 and it has 230,000 on it. My wife and i used it at first to run to town in the evenings for supper, short trips, it was the new nicest vehicle at the time. Its been a backup vehicle for me for a while waiting on my daughter to turn 16 which she has and now drives it some. My 1992 pickup i drive to the co-op and get feed for the animals and run up to the gas station ect. Its got about 255,000 on it.

I normally average about 40,000 a year, and on a low year its still about 32,000-35,000. One of my highest years was over 60,000. Spreading it across multiple vehicles keeps any one of them from having a monumental amount of miles, but has slowly racked up a bunch on all of them.

I was just wondering the other day if we have a 5th gen high mileage thread. I guess we do now. :D I have 127K on the 4Runner now and plan on running it until the engine blows or the frame rusts out. Rust will probably be what happens first. Same with my Tacoma that has 211K on it. Neither one of them have had any major issues yet.

Thanks for sharing @Airdam. I think many of us do the same and share the mileage with other vehicles we have at home. I was looking for a 4gen V8 before buying what I have but couldn't find anything relatively well kept as I was living in VA and everything was rusted and high mileage. I have been toying with the idea of a v8 LC 200 but unsure about this. One thing is for sure, these yotas will outlived many of us. Let's see if the high mileage 5G owners show up on this thread. I'm hopeful we see a few.

That’s an insane amount of miles. What do these people do to drive that many miles? Delivery service? A lot of the high mileage pickup trucks are typically used for parts/shipping deliveries.

Hes the guy from Montana right? I have seen him comment a few times, last time was well into the 300,000s i believe.
I think he said something along the lines of it being over an hour to get anywhere, so hes racking up miles every day.

My mileage is right in between choices 2 and 3. I'm within 5K of 150K so I voted choice 3.

Closing in on 65K, hope this one goes as long as my 3rd gen!

Edit: I should note here that during the latter half of my engineering career I had supported numerous 'field' operations that racked up in excess of 150 miles/day, for over twelve years on my 3rd Gen. Glad I received a per diem that covered operating expenses! Now I'm averaging closer to 18K/year so at that rate it would take me almost 22 years to hit the same mileage on this 5th gen!

It's too bad his dash is lit up like a christmas tree though.

Maintenance required, bad battery, check engine light, ect.....

Might as well send that one to the junk yard

About to hit 40k miles on my 2023. Hopefully it'll see some high mileage like some other ones on here.

Where'd you get the sticker, @ChessGuy ? My 2nd gen isn't close to 400,000 km (in Canada here) but that would be a nice sticker to have, because I plan on driving it to at least 400,000 km.

Maybe I'll also look at getting something similar printed at the local sign shop eventually too. I think they do stickers for like 10 bucks
