My wife just bought a 2021 4runner and it is the perfect vehicle for her except the rear window switch. More often than not I am finding the rear window down or cracked because the dog ran across the center console or her bag pushes the button. Not a huge deal except she is never aware of this. Is this a problem other people have and if so how to I fix it mechanically not socially

I haven't had that problem, but I'm also the only one that drives my 4Runner. You might be able to wedge a block a foam rubber under the lip of the switch to make it harder to press. Or you could get fancy and put metal switch guards on either side of the switch... maybe use a couple of small u-bolts?

I have not tested it, but does the window master lock not control the rear...?

I’ve never had that problem. However I suppose if you want to permanently disable the switch you could pop up the console trim piece and unplug the switch.
