I’ve got an 85 4Runner with the 3.4l swap. I’m looking for info on how to hook up the factory temp gauge. Ie. wire color from gauge is it possible? What’s do I need 85 sender?

The plug below should be in the passenger kick pannel, there are two down there that are for the body. You will need to splice the Yellow-Red wire from the II3 plug into the yellow-green wire from the N3 plug. My truck is an 87 origonally with the 22re in it so these should match.

Definitely use a Scan Gauge or Ultra Gauge via OBD 2 port for accurate temp readings. The sensor on the motor may ruin the gauge on the original cluster. If it does work it gives little info as to actual temps.
