2nd Gen (Help?!)

Morning All,

My name is Cee, we have a 2nd Gen w/ ~140K on it in Conifer, Colorado. I was told the engine is about to go. We were given it by someone else and unfortunately do not have a title for it. Is there a market for folks wheeling with a vehicle that they trailer to places and don't have a title for? Or anyone that parts these kind of things out?

We also have a 3rd Gen and a Tacoma that we love. I wish I had the time and know-how to fix the 2nd gen, but I unfortunately do not.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Well, if it were me I’d source a low mileage 5VZ-FE 3.4L V6 from a salvage yard and drop it in, or part it out down to the last nut and bolt. Could take a while though. Welcome to the forum.

 

I wish I had the knowledge to be able to do that because we like the Runner, but I just don't have the money to sink into an engine swap right now. I appreciate the advice tho!
