Toyota really needs to stop abusing the Land Cruiser name.

 

I don't know if it's just more AI slop clickbait. But if it does happen, anyone want to bet it gets a 12 gallon or even smaller gas tank?

 

Likely click bait, but for the sake of discussion, we already know how much cargo space is compromised by the hybrid batteries. Starting with small and taking up more space will result in really small. We need another unit of measurement. Call it grocery capacity, measured in number of bags. Packs of water, beer, or diapers would be multipliers of some sort. This can then be distorted the way a gun safe that is advertised to fit 30 guns but really only fits 18 is. Same with miles to empty. If you’re fat and loaded with water, beer and Costco sized bags of candy and donuts, mileage will be reduced. And it needs a new setting called “mall control”. Ok I’m done.

I like to use the addon YTBlock to filter channels like these on my computer.

 

It seems youtube/google is leaning in pretty hard into these types of video. They probably create more clicks and “engagement” with extremely low levels of effort. Is it actually youtube/google creating this crap directly, or are they simply promoting the AI content that’s being uploaded by others?

To me it seems that Google’s best business case is to simply produce the fake videos themselves.

At this point, I kinda suspect it’s actually google/youtube directly generating this AI crap. Soon enough, google will claim that their fiduciary duty to the shareholder requires they take full advantage of easy ways to increase engagement and profit. For example, like simply generating the AI slop directly. It’s a big dumb world out there, and it will take a long time before people either get tired of pointless AI videos, or even realize everything they’re watching has turned into AI generated nonsense. That’s a lot time during which trillions of dollars could be made, with very low effort on Google’s part.

They got bored of putting TRD on everything.

 

I won’t put it past them but currently it’s run by folks just trying to game the system that rewards engagement. You see them with poorly done movie recaps, “true” crime and other popular types of videos.

Normally I’d think Google wouldn’t kill the “golden goose” (that is, the multitude of content given to it for practically free compared to any other streaming platform) but considering they decided to choose ad clicks over search quality some years ago doesn’t reassure me.
