Just got my new 2022 TRD Sport about a month ago now and just finished dressing her up a little. 2” leveling kit, 17” TRD wheels, 265 Grappler G2 tires, step bar, TRD pro roof rack, blacked out emblems. (I had to paint the TRD Sport decals since Toyota doesn’t have them in black. And I had to wrap the 2 small chrome strips in the front).

Nice rig! Can you please post pics of the interior? It is any different than any other SR5 trim? Or is it closer to the Limited trim?

I went with the SofTex synthetic leather interior. Not sure if it’s offered on the SR5.

Are heated seats not available on the TRD Sport? Also- what happened to your driver side rear seatbelt? It looks all frayed already.

Lol. Thanks for pointing that out. Just went and checked. It was just some fuzz. I got it detailed a few days ago and I think the guy must have used a cloth or something that shed on it. My seats aren’t heated. I’m in Florida so not really something I needed so I didn’t even look into if it was an option. Not sure on that one though.

No, I don't believe the Sport has heated seats as an option. Softex is standard tho and I don't think cloth is available in that trim. The Sport is a strange package. Nice looking 4R OP.

Nice. Here’s an idea for another easy mod. Unless the dealer is paying you to advertise, get rid of that dealer license plate holder. A black or chrome frame would look much better.

I took em to the place where I got those 2 little chrome strips wrapped. I thought they could wrap the emblems too but the guy said he had to paint them. Was pretty simple. Just left em with him, came back the next day and they threw em on. Think it was like $50.

Which leveling kit did you have installed? I’m assuming you had to remove the XREAS suspension?

I’ll be honest, I’m not even sure. I’ll reach out to the sales agent I had to find out for you. It was all tied into the financing for the purchase of the vehicle. I just told the guy everything I wanted and it was lumped into the sale price. It’s whatever brand Toyota would use though. Not sure if there are specific ones.

Gotcha! Smart. I’m sure your warranty is still intact. Looks good. I’d like to do something similar with mine.

Army green is such a great color and your mods have definitely dressed it up and make for a very unique truck. Nice looking rig! Not sure about a 2wd 4runner though...2runner haha? I suppose in FL 4wd isn't really necessary though.

Thanks man. I wasn’t really sold on the Sport by the looks of it but I was kinda in a bind and couldn’t wait for a TRD OR. I’m pretty happy with how everything turned out.

Yeaaaahhhhhh…..I wasn’t too excited about that either. But I was kinda in a bind and didn’t have time to wait and build one. I didn’t really want the Sport either. But at the end of the day I knew I probably wouldn’t use the 4WD much here, if at all. It’s a big, flat, hot, concrete jungle. So I said screw it and I’ll just make it look the way I want it to look and not lose sleep over it. Everything else was pretty much exactly what I wanted. But yeah…..kinda weird they even offer a 2WD option.

Totally understand and Im not knocking it at all. Just don’t see many of those in the Rocky Mountain region! You’ve done a helluva job building it up. So jealous if the green!!

The tube steps on the side, the dealership install those too? I called my local dealer and they said the standard predator steps wouldn’t fit. I want that style of steps on mine too.

More than likely its a leveling kit, puck style on top of the xreas. Doubt that the dealership would dish out for aftermarket suspension and having to rip out brand new xreas.

Yes they did. And you’re correct, the predator ones don’t fit on the Sport so they found these ones for me that look pretty much identical. The company is N-Fab.

Can you show a full front picture? Did you wrap in plain black? matt or gloss? Almost looks like a carbon colour (think thats what its called)
