    Hi All!

New to the forum. Had a 2012 SR5 & have just upgraded to '21 Limited. Brake harness on old rig was hard wired in so have purchased the plug & play harness for my old prodigy IQ brake controller. I have 2 questions...

Where is the best place to put the controller? The plastic panel on the limited extends downward in contrast to the SR5 which had a shorter depth. I had the controller next to right knee in old rig. Seems like its quite a reach if I place lower to the right of knee in the limited.

My 2nd ?? Are there big differences in towing with a new limited vs an old SR5? I tow a 19' Escape trailer. Never used WD or Sway bar in past but did have air bags on the old rig. I am hopeful that the new rig will tow even better. Would be interested to hear your experiences if you have a similar circumstance.

    Thank you for your responses,
    Jules in Boise

Didn’t the 4th gen have a higher towing capacity? Or am I imaging that?

    Sure did

19 foot escape says 3250 lbs dry. Your 4R is gonna hate you when its loaded on anything but flat ground.
