Man, the 1st thing I did with my limited was buy new 20" tires because I figured it would cost too much for wheels and tires, and I'm only 3 hours away...

I’d buy all of them just to get one, at those prices, but unfortunately I live in Canada. It’s hard to believe that those excellent OR wheels aren’ t being snapped up by someone. Most of the after market wheels are junk, imho.

I bought my monotone trail wheels on FB Marketplace for $350 and sold my SR5 stock wheels for $275 via marketplace and posting in the local FB Toyota club page. I bet you will have much better luck selling there. List them for $450-$500. You'll get reasonable offers.

 

Thank you! I have had them on FB Marketplace for 2 months. I have gotten people that want to buy 1 or 2, or offer me 200. I also get people that ask if they are still available, but then dont write back to me.. I made a deal with the wife that I could buy the Pro wheels, and then sell these to make up the money. She is not very happy with me at the moment..

 

You'll sell them for the price you want eventually. It took me a couple months on FB and ironically I didn't didn't get a reasonable offer until I raised the price. Just keep renewing the post. $350 is a great price for these. If I was selling them I'd have them listed at least $450.

The other thing you could do is go invest another $300-$400 and get them powder coated black. Then you could turn around and sell them for $700-$800. Just tell your wife you've got a sure fire plan and there's no way it will backfire.

 

I need all 5 for a swap out of my 20" wheels on my limited.
I am looking to loose some un-sprung weight and rotational mass on each wheel.

Just as an FYI - I have two Limited's and I did this swap out on my white one - now looking to do this on my silver one. I personally think the 20" stock wheels visually look large on a 4Runner. Plus the 17" OR wheels are a very good wheel and have a nice "dish" type shape with some depth to them, the 20" wheels are so flat faced. The 17" wheels may be a little to small for a Limited and 18" is probably ideal but I like the idea of staying with a factory wheel instead of an after-market. (I have thought about using an 18" OEM Taco wheel)

I find using the 17" OR wheels helps the ride and improves the acceleration, the full-time 4WD and those 75lb 20" wheels/tires really make the Limited a little sluggish compared to just being in 2WD on my OR. With a lighter 17" wheel/tire combo you can drop +10lbs off each corner.

I totally agree josephp732. They look great, and they’re high quality off road wheels. Those little notches designed to protect the valve stems are unique. Personally, I think it’s funny that folks are so ready to exchange these wheels for inferior ones on the basis of aesthetics. Also, I’m anti China, since they are holding two Canadians hostage for Canada honouring a US request to arrest a Huewei executive. A lot of those after market wheels are Chinese, like everything else in the consumer world. But hey, it’s a free country, eh.
