2020 4Runner - crackling noise in front when raining

    This started after a windshield replacement, but it only occurs when it rains or we run the car through a car wash. Noise more prevalent at 50+. Dealership found no issues and could not duplicate. After a car wash, it will last about 20 minutes, wipers not on. Dealership said drains are small by design but all working.

    Noise appears to be in front of windshield where drains are, all across that area. Makes a crackling noise kinda like popcorn popping real slow
