2008 Liftgate and license plate lights not working

I just replaced the melted button cover for the liftgate, put everything back together and the hatch acts like it's dead. I don't hear the motor trying to close the hatch, it worked earlier today, the hatch is closed but won't open or fully close with the motor that pulls it in tight.

I've tried resetting the battery, didn't work. I tried using my key to open the hatch, won't work, I can control the back window and locks from the key in the hatch, but I can't open the hatch and now my license plate lights don't work. Tail lights and all other lights work. Hatch window works. Anyone have any ideas?

 

Figured out my own mistake. Thought I had reconnected everything, missed one plug that plugs in the lights. Plugged it in and everything started working right.
