1st Gen High Beam Problems

    Hello,

    I have an 88 SR5 with Cruise & Intermittent wipers. My high beams did not go on & stay on ( but I could still flash them ). I had an experienced Toyota mechanic look at it and he said it was the multi-function switch. There are two switches for the 1st gens, one for models without cruise and intermittent wipers and one for those that do have those options. I was only able to find via aftermarket searching the switch for those without cruise & Intermittent wipers. I was able to find the correct model switch (used) on Ebay and purchased it. After hooking it up correctly, the exact same problem exists. High Beams will "flash" but will not stay on. Does anyone have any idea what else could be the problem and a fix ? Thank you SM
