Hello I just picked up my 95 manual 3.0 4x4 and knew the rear window would only go half way then need help. One person in the truck pushing the button and one pushing up the window. Keys don't work the rear lock, as I have hyndai filed down keys to work the ignition. And lucky that works.

I've lubed everything, silicone spayed the rubber tracks and gave the motor a good wack. Still same thing.

I'm in Central America with limited parts and tools. But it goes down at a decent clip, but needs help going up, seems like motor? Or is it possible the relay in the rear quarter panel is dying? Think I read it's the 3rd relay for the up function.

So far I've found no shop that has the parts and can't order as we don't have mail service here anyway.

Right now it just stays closed, but I really need the truck bed, but can't keep the window down or will loose everything inside the rig. If it's not bolted down it goes away, especially if you're gringo.

    Thanks

Once this is solved I'll deal with back passenger side window too. Seams like a switch? Get voltage drop on the dash when pushed up but not when pushed down, but only at that door switch and no movement just jump on the niddle. Not at the driver switch cluster. There I get nothing at all. Can't find a switch here either, so have to get creative. Dang I wish the 4Runner had manual hand crank windows like the Montero's, Gallopers, Dodge Raider and the old: diesel GEO's and Jimmys/Suzuki samurais

Thanks for the welcome. If y'all think it's the motor, I'll try to get one ordered and a buddy will try to bring it thru the airport when he comes. Chances are the parts will be confiscated in customs, so I'm going to by the inexpensive ones. I just need the rig to work till I return to the States in the winter
    Thanks for any help. Ed
