1989 4runner Heater Core search

    I've been on the search for the correct heater core for my 1989 4unner. I bought a few different types but nothing seems to be an exact match. The OEM core had tubes that use c-clips to mount to the core. I have not found a new core that fits these tubes. First, is Spectra 94662. Dimension are 7 -7/8 tall x 5 1/4 wide. This cores states it uses OEM pipes. but is too small

    this one is too big. Fits 1984-88 4runner/pickup..

    Napa has the one that fit for my 88 pickup. Let me see if I can find the part number.

    This was the part number that was a perfect fit. NHC 6603348. It was the one that was about $40 bucks.

    whatever you do, do not mess up those C clips. You will need to connect the old hardlines to the new core.
