    I need some advice...

Is this a good deal... I'm considering trading in my 2018 TRD OR I've had for 18 months with 16,000 miles on it, plus $10k, for a 2019 Pro in white. I know it's all relative, just curious your thoughts.

When I bought my 2918 TRD OR, I've wanted one for decades and love it. Now, I'm overthinking the Pro purchase...

It's just going to be s street car, like the OR...I just love the style, i.e., the roof rack, front bumper assembly, black rims. It's based on esthetic design...

If its just aesthetic, you can buy all those things and make you 18 OR look like a Pro for a lot less than 10k.

Yep. You'd be wasting a lot of money if you bought the Pro for those reasons alone.

You could go with a faux Pro for a lot less than $10k, even if you added an aftermarket Fox suspension. Overall the Pros hold their value better if not an appreciation if you get a desired color. If you have the cash or credit then do it. Personally I would not but I get the desire.

    What color is your TRDOR?

    Hey Brian,
Of course this is a numbers game. Not sure what you paid for your 18 and what they want for the 19 Pro. Seems a lot 10,000 out to trade up. You definitely can do less than 10,000 to make your off road look like a Pro. The only difference I do know I was told by a salesman I know at the Toyota dealer where I bought mine. When it comes to trade it in the Pro is worth more than the normal off road 4runner. I do love my 17 Pro bought brand new. I’m actually thinking about trading my 17 Pro in on a 2020 when they come out. I know when I traded my 2015 Tacoma sport it had 12,000 miles on it. I got almost what I paid for it after 2 years. My Pro has 10,000 miles on it and I don’t drive it a lot because I use a beater car for work. But if I trade my Pro in on 2020 I will get almost what I paid for it. You need to calculate how much you are wanting to spend to make your off road look like a Pro. I have been thru doing on the mods to my Tacoma and sold them. I did not want to go thru the same thing with the 4runner. I like it just the way it is. Good luck.

If its looks that you are going after I would stick with the TRD OR. I just purchased mine and I am looking at a bunch of PRO pro parts and it is going to cost less than that with better quality parts. But it is also all about what you want it to look like. If the stock PRO is the look you want just create it yourself!! If you do trade your 4R in goodluck and dont let them rip you off. Some asshole let the dealership i bought my truck from rip them off and that's how I got a 2019 TRD ORP with 950 miles on it for 37K.

To start a flame war, I am not a fan of any white vehicle period thus if I had a choice between silver TRDOF and white TRDP, silver wins for me regardless of price. Go faux Pro.

Thanks RusPro...that's great insight. I won't be doing mods on my OR - it's a Pro or bust for me. I love my OR so the story either way will have a happy ending. Thanks again! Much appreciated!

It is a numbers game. $40,593 for the 2019 Pro, $31,000 for my 2018 TRD OR with 15,600 miles. Well below MSRP and also a low trade in...what the hey! Tough decision to spend $10k.

    No problem Brian,
Also not a good time to trade being in the summer. Come fall or close to winter the value of your vehicle definitely goes up. That is a great price on the Pro!!

This is example I just did on kellybluebook with my Pro. I did the same with my 2015 Tacoma TRD sport. Also I traded around September which makes a big difference going into the winter. The dealer was right on with value what I checked into. I will do the same thing with my Pro if I move up to 2020. I will wait till late fall. My Pro on Kelly blue book is between 39 and 40. If I wait till closer to winter the value will much better. Where I live also I have not seen the dealers marking up the Pro more than the msrp on the truck.

    I see a theme :p

don't let a bunch of strangers on the internet spend your money or keep you from spending your own. Just buy the fucker and be happy or don't and move on, beating yourself up over the decision is nuts.

I think that's a good deal, considering you lose about $5k as soon as you drove your 2018 off the lot.

Seems like a good deal for a trade with your mileage. I bought a new orp 3 weeks ago, no trade and got 4k off msrp. They had a Pro and I asked if I could get 4k off and he laughed, said they sell for sticker. Would have cost me 8k more to drive away with a pro.
I checked 3 days later and they sold it.

Yeah, Pro’s don’t stay on the lot long. They can sell them no problem at msrp!!

Build it out yourself, choose the pieces you like and take your time. The project will give you a few months enjoyment and will cost the same or less.

My dealer told me most of the Voodoo Blue Pros are sold before they even hit the lot. I ordered mine and waited 3 months for it. I still have my auto trader alert for a voodoo blue pro, and they are never on the lot for more than a day or two.

They sit on the lots here in Maryland and Delaware. They're also selling for MSRP, and below. My dealer offered me one but my spouse doesn't want that color on the property. I, on the otherhand, have always loved that color.

Yeah, There are quite a few of the voodoo blue on autotrader close to my surroundings areas. You either like the color or not. They will sell eventually.
