'05 SR5 - Is a 1.5 ton floor jack (in addition to jack stands) ok to use for weekend warrior use on my SR5? Things like oil change, replacement of rear differential fluid, etc?
Or, is a 3 ton floor jack necessary? I want one or the other.

If you are limited to one floor jack get a 2.5 ton low profile - high lift floor jack. Sometimes you need that extra low ground clearance and the extra 2 or three inches of lift. You won’t miss it UNTIL you NEED it!

I use a Daytona 3 ton long reach and I LOVE it! I use it on my T4R and my 911. It is a great floor jack for at home.

I’ve also got the Harbor Freight Daytona 3 ton floor jack and it is ideal for working on my T4R and other vehicles. I highly recommend this jack!!

    Cheers,

The Daytona jacks at HF literally Snap On floor jacks rebranded. The 3ton low profile long reach is perfect for everything you'll ever need to do at home

Good information on the Daytona jacks, guys! I don't really like my floor jack, so I might look into a Daytona replacement.

I've been very impressed/happy W/Daytona 3 ton from HF. Not a fan of HF unless consumables or a cut-up special tool. The tire shop I bought my Coopers from have 3 or 4 of them used heavily daily. They swear by them.
