1.5 inch Wheel spacers

I am running 265's, 33 inch tires, on my 2016 4runner. I would like to put wheel spacers on them to get them out to where the body is, not tuck in under the body. Do I need the hub centric spacers? Is there anything I should be worried about with the spacers?

 

Bora makes quality spacers in all sizes. Don't cheap out here. I'd choose spidertrax 1.25" or Bora if you need a different size.
What wheels and tires are you currently running? 265/70/17 isn't a 33" tire... so it's hard to guess what you're rig will need without knowing your tire size and wheel size.



Some background on spacers: Your scrub radius increases quite a bit with spacers. Meaning you may have to do some cutting/ clearancing depending on your setup.

I'm running 34s with very aggressive negative offset. Took a ton of cutting to make everything work. One benefit that a lot of people do not consider is how much more stable a wide stance makes the rig. Off camber situations are way less of a concern with the wide stance and lots of weight (armor) underneath the vehicle.

 

I do know they are not really 33's. They are BFG 265's. I'm not really impressed with these tires, they were on there when I bought the truck. I want them to be out past the body or at least to the edge of it. I don't know how to put picture on here or I would post them. I'm not to concerned with doing the small amount of cutting that may need to be done. I also have Fuel wheels on it.

 

Likely 265/70/17 tires as they are the stock size.

No I don't. I just know that they are Fuel wheels. I'm sorry, the are not 265's, they are 285's. I just wanted to know if I should use "hub centric spacers?

 

I “think” fuel wheels are hub centric so yes, it’s best to ensure that the spacers are also hub centric.

 

Yes... you'll need hubcentric spacers.
Quality spacers from Bora or spidertrax will be hubcentric and designed specifically for the 4Runner.

Thanks for all the help. I have found a pair on Amazon for $114 that are hub centric. They are made by KSP and are 6061 T-6 aluminum. If you will, look them up and let me know what you think of them.

 

I recommend you don’t skimp on this, it can go very badly if there’s any issues with them. In my opinion Bora or Spidertrax are the best options.

 

Friends don’t let friends use wheel spacers.

I have 285/70/r17 mickey thomson baja boss a/t - bilstien 5100s & OME suspension - 1.25 wheel spacers Spidertrax - I had to do a body mount chop and cut a little of my lower front fender. Couldnt be happier, I get compliments all the time on the look. I is a perfect stance/aggressive look. I have had my spacers on for about 10k miles. every tire rotation I check all bolts.
