Hello from San Fernando Valley

Hi!

Finally completed a lift and tire mod on my 2016 Trail and am ready to have some fun! Ran White Mountain with some friends last weekend, and headed to Ouray, CO in August for a couple weeks.

Looking forward to meeting other 4Runner owners in the area!

Where did you head to on White Mountain? We went a few years ago for some elevation training and hiked to the peak. We were going to come down Silver Canyon Road to the Laws Museum but by buddy's CJ lost all brake pressure, so we towed it back down to Big Pine. Beautiful area up there, it's like very high desert. The ancient bristlecones are neat.

Welcome from Colorado.! You're gonna love Ouray... it is amazing up there.. swing by Telluride while you're at it.

 

The White Mountain in reference was in Big Bear, although we've explored the area you referenced. The bristlecones are amazing, and Grandview Campground is great for star gazing. In fact, headed that direction over Labor Day.

For Big Bear, we started in Hesperia on 3N17, jumped on 3N16, to 3N12 and down into Fawnskin. Ran with about 20 Jeeps and had a great time.

I'm a little new in the driver's seat, typically co-pilot - so still getting my sea legs.

 

Thanks, and absolutely! We are still waiting to see when some of the trails will open up - Black Bear, Imogene and such. We've been longtime members of a Jeep Club, and we are tagging along on their trip. Think we might be driving in from the Grand Rapids area and might have a night in Telluride before we arrive in Ouray.
