    Hey new friends,
After much deliberation with my wife we decided to pull the trigger on a Voodoo Blue TRD Pro 4Runner. Sitting in the Crew Max Tundra we were thinking about getting a Tundra but I'm a smaller guy and I enjoy having a maneuverable vehicle at the mall :crapstorm:

UNFORTUNATELY, our financial institution, who will remain nameless, isn't the best at timing and despite having same day approval for financing, we have to wait until Tuesday before we get there keys.... Err, until my wife gets the keys. I'll be 2000 miles away for work :annoyed:

Either way I'm happy to be a new member and once I get the vehicle home I'll post a few pictures... Or you can just look at Toyota's website, all we added we're running boards

Good call, the Tundra, although a nice rig, is too big for my likings...

    Welcome and congrats from SC.....

I'm 6-2, SUV experiences with rodeos and pathfinders.... been driving the 5th generation 4runner for two years now.....I'm still adjusting to how much bigger it is compared to my old 2011 pathfinder...

Cargo area numbers aren't that different, but the seat height and width are. I have some time behind the wheel in a Tahoe and was never comfortable with how much room it took up.

Alright guys, first question... How tall is the 4Runner with the roof rack. As mentioned before my wife will be picking up the truck by herself and I have 78" of room to get the truck inside the garage. I saw somewhere that the height is 79". I'm thinking I might just have her park it outside until I get home...?

Just measured my Pro at 78. If you truly only have 78 clearance you're stuck. Maybe air down the tires, creep as not to bounce the suspension or pull the rack... If you really want in the garage.

Most garages are 7' or 84". My old lifted full size truck was 82 fit fine in my garage, I did adjust the closer for full open! only had problems at one old parking garage in the heart of Chicago.. their sign said 7' but they meant 6'8" :argue:

welcome!. I've only been in the club about 3 weeks myself. Overall, I love mine. I drove Blazers/Trailblazers for decades and the 4Runner handles and rides like a freaking dream compared to the GM platform, and the reliability and life expectancy is light years beyond. My only potential misgiving is that we traded in a Toyota Sienna for the 4Runner and with 2 kids who do band, robotics, travel soccer plus beach trips, we're gonna struggle to get all our loot in an SUV. But the important thing is, the 4Runner looks sharp as hell.

So I have 79.5" to the garage door itself. 78" to the handle so I might try to remove that. Either way I'm thinking ceramic coating big blue anyways

I enjoy the size of the 4Runner plus the look of it is one of the nicer and aggressive looking looking vehicles on the market.

    Congratulations on the TRD Pro.

Totally agree. I'm a truck guy but this is like a slightly shorter length full size truck with the bed enclosed. I think of it as a shortened Tundra rather than Tacoma because the 4Runner feels wider.

Awesome to drive/park downtown and in parking garages where full size trucks is a nightmare.
