There is a bad mildew/urine/dead animal type smell only on the exterior of the vehicle (2016 4runner limited). I do not smell it inside the vehicle. Strongest after driving and can be smelt all around vehicle.. I have brought it in and had engine detailed (after finding rodent activity under hood), interior detailed, and vehicle searched by a mechanic and they could not find the source but could smell it. Appreciate all help on here!!

To eliminate weight, and have a common frame rail, amongst other parts, holes are everywhere. Rodents, even small birds, love this. Give it some time the summer heat will speed up decomposition and it should pass. Look for insects when the truck has been parked for some time. That’s my .02¢

I live in Florida. No Red Elms, but lots of palm trees. I park in the driveway. There is also a lot of construction going on around my community which I heard increases rodent activity.

Ive had a few dead fish under mine... but driving through florida flooded trails would do that.
