Last weekend I was backing up a boat into a garage with the tailgate up for better view and I got to close to the house and wacked the bottom of the tailgate. No big deal at the time never noticed anything. Well tonight I realized I bent the bottom corner of the tailgate under a bit. Dammit the thing didn't even have a ding from another car door yet after almost ten months. Oh well "officially" broken in I guess.

    They aren't museum pieces. Lol
Those are memory bumps now! You will now love it forever. Unless it broke the paint. LMAO
I feel the pain. My wife took ours on a 1,500 mile trip & now there are a few front rock nicks. Let's see if Xpel stands behind a 10yr warranty...
"Normal wear & tear" I bet...

Yup paint chipped off in a few places as it cracked at the bend. I happen to have a bottle that's pretty darn close as it's basically the same color as my daily car. Close enough and out of site enough to use it for now. It kind of "curled" under a bit, now I'm debating just bending it back as straight as I could get it and call it a day. I know I may crack more paint but I'll just touch it up and cover bare metal for now. Someday I'll see what a shop wants to make it disappear.....Or maybe not.

Find a new tailgate @ salvage that came off a totaled one.
Paint may be a lot cheaper than a repair.
    Any pics?
Sucks there are no aftermarket tailgates.

No where bad enough to look at a replacement tailgate, I'm not even sure the cost from a body shop would justify insurance getting involved after my deductible and all. We'll see I may bend it back out and see how it looks.
