Howdy David, I'm pretty new to the 4runner crowd and have a toytec question. I've seen references to toytec/ boss. Is there a connection with Boss/ Halo? I came from the ford side and to me the Halo(boss) Hands down is the best coil over having ran them as well as 6112's and Fox. Halo is outta Colorado also and had the best customer service... anyway you guys attached to Halo? Lemme know and my search for raising my runner may be completed

    Gooooood morning!!

You are correct, Halo/ Toytec do have a relationship with eachother. The owner of Toytec helped assist in starting up Halo Lifts back when it was called "F-150 Lifts". We also assisted in starting up a company called Nisstec which is all Nissan based :)

2 questions, can you adjust the front ride height without removing the strut. I saw with Kings they need to be pulled.
    Also any forum group discount?

Our coilovers can be adjusted on the vehicle yes. You will still need to jack the vehicle off the ground and remove the tire from the vehicle.

A general rule of thumb to follow is that every 1/4'' of thread exposure is equal to about 1/2'' of lift.

I have seen people adjust KINGS on the vehicle, we take them out here at the shop though. Just to insure proper security of the adjuster ring. The KING coilovers have a "set screw" on the adjuster ring itself which needs to be loosened in order to adjust the coilovers.. Which, on the vehicle, can be a little sketchy as the ring can get twisted and screw up your threads on the shock body....

Thanks. Sounds like what I want. Due to vehicle lean I want to level that without a puck. Later when I add gear beable to level again without pulling the struts.
So, how about a forum discount:notsure::)

The 2 attached, wondering which one would have a smoother street ride, also are both height adjustable on the vehicle, thanks

My opinion I'd run the Toytec BOSS coilovers... Built specific per application, larger shock bodies, double zinc coated shock bodies, nitro steel hardened shafts and threaded shock bodies for easier 1 spanner adjustments....

Built for the daily driver/ weekend warrior style driver!
