I've recently had a 3 inch lift put in my 4runner (2019 limited)
    2.0 in the rear.
What are your thoughts on the install place using spacers. They put spaces between the struts in the front and spacers in the rear. Since this has been done my vehicle feels strange. It seems to drift to the right and more so when braking. (veers to right)
I brought it back and they said a simple alignment should fix this.
As of today it still feels the same.
(The shop mentioned it could be bad brakes) But the car only has 5000 miles

Should I have had them change out the upper control arms also?
What is the best solution to doing this right?
I have this brand new car and quite frankly I won't drive it because of the way it handles.
I am sure someone with knowledge can help me out.

    Thanks!

A lot of people drive with spacers. I can't say what the handling differences are because I don't drive with them, but it's not uncommon.

I'm no expert on geometry, but I think you *should* be able to get 3" before you need to change geometry. At least that's what I think I've ready previously.

Are you still with the stock suspension? You may want to confirm they didn't bust up your XREAs when installing the spacers, that would definitely affect handling.

    This was my first thought.

I'd think a 3" spacer lift would not be a comfortable ride, but I can't say it would cause the type of ride you're describing.

    Maybe take some pictures?..

Do you have the post alignment spec sheet? If so, can you tell us what the caster numbers are?

It could be that your caster is too low. When you lift the front end that high, it can be difficult to get the caster back into spec, let alone get it to the higher end of spec which will offer the biggest improvement in handling. If this is the case, then UCA's would help your situation.

I use to run spacers 3” on stock UCA’s had kinda of the same issue went to a coil-over with SPC UCA’s and problem went away, i don't think spacer and coil overs would do it so my money is on upper control arms. My ride improved since going aftermarket

A question from you stated "Are you still with the stock suspension? You may want to confirm they didn't bust up your XREAs when installing the spacers, that would definitely affect handling." I am not sure if they messed with it. It is still the stock suspension. I am not sure how I would even know if that's messed up.
I'm thinking the uca may be the answer. I really don't plan on doing any serious 4wheeling, more for looks... But I want the car to drive correctly

You need to learn about your XREAS. It stands for something like cross linked reactive suspension, but the key is that your driver front and passenger rear shocks are linked, likes common reservoir. Any disruption to the cross link could render the pair useless. (Same with other pair). It’s an easy mistake to make and worth checking for safety sake if nothing else.

Of course it could be geometry or alignment as well.
