Okay so i need yalls help! My 4runner has Sent out a code stating that the secondary Air injectors have failed. It Struggles with accelerating over 40. What is this "secondary air injection system" and How do i Fix it. My buddy over at orileys told me that id have to take the whole Top part of the engine off. Is that true? And will this part cause the engine more Damage or am i good to continue to use it as my daily driver

Absolutely look at that thread Chassis linked. Get the slyfox75 bypass kit, just do it. You're in limp mode already but you may be able to do just the SAIP bypass and don't have to replace valves.

Anybody with a 2005+ 4.7l V8 has to do the SAIP bypass. It's a no-brainer. Tundra 4.7's, the same. Some Tacoma V6's have the same problem. Just do it.

Hi guys, I normally frequent "another" 4Runner forum, but I wanted to let ya'll know I supply blockoff plates($40) and AIP bypass($48) for the 05-12 4Runners and other Toyota V8s(Tundra, LX, GX, LC, Seq)
I rarely frequent the forum, best way to get me is jeffcolemaps at gmail.
I go by same user name at other sites (slyfox75) if you need to look up other AIP information.

^^^^ this. I've installed the slyfox75 bypass kit four times, cheap and easy. Just do it and save yourself from a future disaster.
