Lifting guidance my 07 4runner

New registered member. I considered myself as a member since 2017 when I started reading posts here. Coming from Audi and BMW worlds which I own and DIY works. Just purchased an 07 4run V6, first Toyota owned.
Based on your posts, I ordered 265/70r17 K02 tires today. Original was 265/65r17. I will keep on wheels for now. Now I would like to lift the car to max 2 to 2.5in, not ready to spend money on Control Arms. My budget is $700 for the parts to lift the cars. The more I read the post the more I was confused what to choose. This is a new territory for me.
I need recommendations on specific items lists and make of struts, coils, springs and or mount to purchase.
I am 20% off road and mostly long distance and some city drive. So comfort would be somehow important.
I will appreciate if you could provide details where to purchase. Hoping to purchase by tomorrow and install next weekend.

Thanks HoboDanny, I read a lot about above, it was a great choice, the only update is that I went with 90021 instead of 90000 for softer ride. I ordered them on Amazon last night free prime shipping, wheelersoffroad.com wanted $105 shipiing. They arrive tomorrow along with the k02s, yeah. I will post pictures this weekend after installation. Thanks man!

 

Only thing you might need to check prior to tearing everything down is your lower control arm cam bolts....if you lift the front more than 1.5 inches you will need to be able to adjust them for an alignment and if yours are frozen like mine it will be a bit more to have them cut off and replaced.

 

Okay, not sure I understood well, but will check the bolts after work today to see if I need some prep prior to tearing down anything. I will come back to you.

Got it, will look for those bolts, now I recall having some issues on my G35 in 2007ish.

 

Sorry I made it home late last nite, so it was dark, water pump failed on my BMW on freeway.
Should I order mounts for the struts? Bushings? If so OEM or else? Thanks again

 

Hello all.

Finished product attached. It was tough to remove rear struts, so I cut them out. It was very hard and physical overall. Some bolts took me hours to come out. The ride is smooth. I drove it to Canada no complain other than some noise coming from the front struts when driving on bumpy roads.
The big issue for me now is the seat. Owning a bmw and audi, I can tell that a long commute on this car will keep me.
I'm going to explore swap seats with bmw. I read some posts related to that. Will learn more and see options.
