Anybody with feedback on the fox 2.5 coilovers? It looks like out of the box they are set at 2" for the 0"-2" ones. I think this will be perfect to add a little more clearance up front after I put my skid plates on (aluminum so not too bad). The back will need to come up a little to accommodate the expedition one rear bumper... Maybe a set of t13s?

Anyways they seem like a good budget friendly coilover ($1200 for non reservoir) and I'm sure will be an improvement over the xreas off road.

They have a reputation for making a good product, but haven't personally owned them. I do plan to get a set of their rear shocks in the future.

One complaint that i've heard is that the body of the shocks tend to rust quickly on wet, salty roads due to a lack of proper coating on the outside of the shocks. I'm sure you could put a protective coating on there yourself for much cheaper than buying a more expensive shock that has that coating already.

Hopefully someone who's actually owned a pair for a while can chime in.

    Hey thanks for the response.

I ended up ordering fox 2.0 coilovers (2" lift out of the box) and a set of 2.0 rear shocks with resi from tire rack... they had an awesome deal going if you're willing to wait for special order... Ended up being $1230 shipped!

I have to figure out what rear coils I'm going to go with to accommodate the expedition one rear bumper (~210#). I'm thinking wheelers t13s but worried I will have reverse rake

As for corrosion it shouldn't be much of an issue as our 4runner is a garage queen in the winter months and typically sees only sunshine unless we're on an off road excursion away from home... I will definitely be sure to maintain and keep an eye on them though as you've suggested.

Sounds good! Thanks for the heads up on the tire rack deal.

Give Dobinsons coils a check. Lots of rear spring options for height and weight requirements. They also have fantastic reviews.
