    Saving up for a 2020 4runner
I've been saving up and look forward to buying a 2020 4runner for my family.

I don't do forums much, but you all seem helpful.

Looking at getting a TRD Pro Premium with KDSS.

I think you mean TRD Off Road Premium? The TRD Pro is not available with KDSS.

I had no choice; even though KDSS is an option, here in California they add KDSS to all Off Road Premiums; I would have preferred it without KDSS; one less thing to worry about and maintain.

Good luck with your search; you’ll love the vehicle!

You’re right! I get all the marketing speak mixed up.

I’ve driven the non kdss units and they’re really bouncy. I liked how the kdss works when I drove that model. I’ve read it’s a passive system, and it’s a Toyota, so it should be ok. I don’t really worry too much about maintenance on a Toyota! If it were an active system, I might be a little more worried.

Although, I save up and pay cash for everything. The upside is the 2020’s will have more creature comforts. Just a few more pennies to save though. The downside is, it might be later in the model year before I buy because of the rush for things like Apple CarPlay.

Well; you're probably right about Toyota's engineering; it seems most people who have driven T4R's with and without KDSS really prefer KDSS; so I should just embrace it. good luck with your plan!
